Our resins has consistently proven superior, in both in-house and independent lab tests, in the following important categories:

  • Tensile Strength
This test evaluates the stress that soda-lime glass rods bonded with resin can bear without breaking apart. The G Fusion 2000 Series Resins easily withstood the equivalent of all the typical forces applied to auto glass during a vehicle's life.
  • Luminous Transmittance
For this test, star breaks in AS-1 laminated glass are intensely weathered for 400 hours under powerful ultra-violet lights and condensation, equaling one year in the world's harshest environments. After this test, GlasWeld resins remained clear.
  • Color Stability
This test includes the same accelerated weathering conditions as above. The G Fusion 2000 Series Resins bested all standards for shrinkage, fading, chalking and yellowing.

GlasWeld uses the advanced technology of the Q-Panel Accelerated Weathering Machine in our laboratory. With this machine, we are able to test intensified weather conditions such as exposure to UV light and condensation, creating the equivalent to one year in the world's harshest environments. Every three months, we perform these tests and the G Fusion resin line shows superiority in the above categories time and time again.
